Welcome to Discount Emporium

Discount Emporium was founded in 1992, when Shirley Van Vliet opened her own store for the first time.

She was, however, no stranger to Locke Street, being the daughter of the owner of "Steve's Surplus".

Whether buying for yourself or for someone special, From Artificial flowers to Zoological charicatures, Discount Emporium is the true A-Z of home decor.

There is no wider selection of great gift ideas in the area and all at prices you will find hard to believe.

Specializing in giftware and fancy goods, the company has grown to occupy two large stores.

While the Dundas store originally opened purely as a Christmas outlet, it too has expanded to cover similar, though never the same stock as the main store on Locke Street.

To fully appreciate the wealth of treasures, there is no alternative but to visit both stores.

Need something as simple as paper napkins or a humourous birthday card? We've got that.

A five foot tall mirror for your hallway with heavily carved and gilded frame? We've got that too!

Over the years, Discount Emporium has built its reputation to such a level, we're positive that you will be impressed by the range of goods we stock. How can we be so sure?

Enough people think sufficiently highly of the store that we received a Spectator Readers Choice award!
